The need is more urgent now than ever! According to a recent report, Honduras has been named the murder capital of the world for the third consecutive year with a rate of 91.6 murders per 100,000 people. It is the highest in the world. This would translate to a death every 74 minutes or 19 victims daily a fact that is devastating this country. Drug and gangs are the primary reason. The war on drugs has been pushed further south. Secondly, when illegals cross the US border they are often recruited by gangs. They are then sent back to Honduras which has very little resources to combat this problem. Much of the crime is being committed in and around the two major cities: Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. Campamento is outside of these areas and is safe...
