July 2011
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
June was certainly an exciting month in Campamento. We are now starting to average close to 60 on our Sunday morning services. We have seen more new people come to church because of our soul-winning program. The people are really excited to see more new people in the church. We also have our regulars that are really starting to grow. More people are starting to bring their Bibles to church. Some parents tell me that their kids think that they are weird because they sing church songs at home. As we get closer to our first anniversary, it is amazing to see the growth in the people here. I wondered what would have happened if no missionary had followed the leading the Lord and planted a church here.
On the last Sunday of June we had a special Baptism Sunday. Because of the culture here, people do not usually get baptized right away. It is a much slower culture. We try to have a good number of saved people that need to be baptized and then we will have one Sunday where we all go to a river and baptize. After the service, we will do what Baptists do best, eat. We tell our church families to bring food and after the service we will eat lunch. Everyone sits down on the beach of the river while I preach standing in the water. After the preaching, we had 6 baptisms with 55 people in attendance. Since the baptisms, we have seen real growth in the people. Baptism is a very confusing doctrine here because of the many different churches. Praise the Lord these people trusted what the Bible says and were baptized.
Please be in prayer for August 28. This is our first year anniversary. In the morning we will celebrate our first year anniversary. This is the time we are praying for 100 people in attendance. In the evening we will organize ourselves as a church. This is will be a very important day in our young church. I also want to remind everyone that I will be making calls for furlough in August 2012. If any supporting church would like to have us in, please contact us. Because of the growth of the church, we have to raise more money. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Always a blessing to hear and see what God is doing in your ministries! I was just praying for our youth camp coming up the 1st of Aug. and thinking, Abigail, about your decisions and how God has given you the desires of your heart. Got is so good to use us. I am so thankful for your testimony of His amazing grace. Have a great Lord’s day!
Love you all so much. Aunt Bobbie
