Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,

The month of February has been an extremely busy month.  On February 13, 2011, we had our first Friend Day.  We had 76 in attendance.  The entire church worked so hard for this day.  We even had a special guest, the mayor of Campamento.  The majority of the work came after Friend Day.  The week after Friend Day we saw 2 saved.  I am emphasizing with the people how important follow up is.  They have been doing an extraordinary job.  We are trying to have 100 people in attendance by our first year anniversary, which is August 28, 2011.

The following Sunday, we had a graduation service for those who completed their discipleship course.  We had 5 graduates in total.  At the end of the course, they have to recite all sixty-six books of the Bible in order to graduate and receive their certificate.  Please pray for these special people as now they will begin the next step in their Christian life.  Their names are: Cesar, Betty, David, Nicole, and Nena.

At the end of February, there was an unexpected death.  Betty’s sister-in-law died from stomach cancer.  The sister-in-law was named Carmen.  Many of Carmen’s family members go to our church.  The funeral was held on Sunday.  Instead of just a normal Sunday morning service, we combined the Sunday morning service and the funeral.  The service was held in Carmen’s house.  The entire house was filled.  There were no more seats left and people were standing in the doorway.  Praise the Lord, there was a testimony of salvation and I preached about Heaven from Revelation chapter 21 and John 14.  Please pray for Carmen´s family as we continue to minister to them.

Next month we are going to have another river baptism.  This time I will not be able to take everyone in my truck because the church is too big now.  We have to rent a bus.  Not only pray for property, but pray for a bus also.  These are certainly exciting times we are living in.  Thank you for your prayers and support.

Daniel Jacobo
