What a month August was! A mother, by the name of Kenya, started coming to church towards the end of her pregnancy, which was 2 months ago. She had to have a c-section. She brought a visitor, her name is Yosimar. Yosimar then brought her 4 kids. When Kenya delivered her baby, the doctor put her on bed rest. Yosimar had to take care of Kenya during that time. They both stopped coming to church until Kenya was strong enough to walk and come to church. During her absence from church, we kept visiting her. At times, we brought her clothes for the baby, bought a Bible and in the month of August, I was able to lead 2 of them to the Lord. I lead to the Lord Kenya in July, and then Yosimar, and Yosimar’s boyfriend, Armando in August.
When we first came to Campamento, a lady by the name of Erica did not like us. I can remember many times she would get mad at us. She eventually came to church, got saved and then in the month of August got baptized. What a God we serve!
Also in the month of August we celebrated our first year anniversary. On August 27, we had an anniversary dinner with 50 people in attendance. There were many testimonies that were given of what the church meant to them. It was sweet time. The following day was the actual anniversary. We had 93 in attendance for our first year anniversary in the morning. In the evening service, we organized the church with 9 members signing the charter. We have many more that are being lined up to become members also.
We would like to announce also that Christopher and Lydia Fittro will be joining our work here in Honduras. Chris will be the principal of the Christian bilingual school that we will be starting in Campamento. Seeing the work here in Honduras, I am truly amazed at seeing God work in the lives of the Honduran people. Thank you for your prayers and support.
Your missionary to Honduras,
