What a month we had this past month! As many of you have probably seen on Facebook or e-mail, our services are packed. The building that we are currently renting has no more room. This will be a consistent problem because the buildings here are not designed to house a growing church. Our people had come across a piece of land for $20,000. I had $5,000 in the bank from money that was donated for the building project when we were on furlough. Our church has been praying for a permanent place to meet. We decided to step out by faith and offer the man $5,000 right now and in three months we can pay him the rest, which is $15,000. I did not know what he would say. Amazingly, he accepted our offer. I signed a contract and paid him $5,000. We have to raise $15,000 by November 18, 2013. I calculated it and we have close to 50 supporting churches. If 15 churches each gave $1,000 we can pay off the property. So far we have received $1,080. We now need 14 more churches to reach our goal. Praise the Lord what He is doing.

Our services continue to be packed out. I had a man tell me that he would like to come, but he doesn’t know if there is any room. One of the members told me that she talked to someone else and told her the same thing. I believe when we get this property and build a building, our church will grow more. Right now we are averaging 60-70 people. The people are hungry for the Word of God.

Just like Father’s day and Mother’s day, Honduras also celebrates the day of the child. We had games and a piñata in the morning, but the special part of the day was at night. I had 3 young boys give a little message from the Bible to expose them more to the work of God. The preachers were Melvin 8, Anthony 11, and Cristian 11. We are so proud of them. It was the first time they ever spoke in front of people. That is the future of our church.

If you would like to help us to pay off the rest of our property you can send a check to BIMI and in the memo section put “Daniel Jacobo- Building Project”. This is such a worthy project and I know the Lord will bless your sacrifice and your faith for helping to get the gospel to the uttermost. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Your missionary in Honduras,
Daniel Jacobo
